
Marc Laithwaite
Marc Laithwaite has been competing in triathlon and endurance events for 26 years. A former sports science teacher, Marc founded The Endurance Coach in 2002 and The Endurance store in 2010. He is a multiple Ironman Kona qualifier and placed first in the 45-49 category at Ironman UK in 2017 and 2018, he was also runner up at Ironman Wales 2018.
Marc has worked for British Triathlon and British Cycling and is a Level 3 coach for triathlon and athletics. He has written for numerous triathlon and running magazines and has coached hundreds of athletes, ranging from novice through to elite level.

Nick Thomas
Nick Thomas is an experienced ultra-endurance athlete and multisports coach. He started triathlon in 1994, competed at Ironman for 10 years and raced at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship in 2002 and 2003. After achieving a BSc in Podiatry he returned to competition at the 2011 Lanzarote Double Enduroman and finished 2nd at the UK Triple Enduroman. He now competes in ultramarathons and was the 2013 England Athletics Ultra Champion.
Nick has coached numerous endurance athletes since 1999. He’s a BTF Level 3 coach, CHEK Practitioner strength and conditioning coach and a lead triathlon coach at Manchester Triathlon Club. Nick has also worked closely in recent years with Brett Sutton, who has coached multiple Kona champions such as Daniella Ryf and Chrissie Wellington. Nick is one of the few TriSutto qualified coaches in the UK and the first in the North of England.

Ben Dobson
Ben Dobson comes from a cycling background, having previously raced regionally and nationally across a range of cycling disciplines. Ben holds both a BSc (Hons) and Masters (MRes) in exercise physiology & nutrition and is currently conducting his PhD into the physiological responses of cycling time trial performance. Over the years, he has worked collectively with both amateur and elite athletes across the UK to optimise their event preparation, via sports science testing, event strategy and acclimatisation for events like the Marathon Des Sables.
Having previously worked with The Endurance Store, he is well versed in the latest running and triathlon technologies and is currently collaborating with a leading nutrition company to develop the latest performance nutrition supplements. In addition to his role at The Endurance Coach, he is also a GTA at Edge Hill University, UK anti-doping advisor, visiting lecturer at several universities and an associate fellow of the higher education academy (AFHEA).
